What Fashion Trend Did Miami Vice Helps Make Popular?

Table of Contents

Miami Vice was a hugely popular show on FX, with an enormous following of viewers. The show followed the life of a young woman, played by Rachael Leigh Cook, who became a wanted woman in Miami after being accused of murder. She tried to run away from the police, but was shot and arrested. A bit of the storyline of the show was that she was somehow linked to the cocaine trade and had been featured in a number of episodes of the TV show. What fashion trend did Miami Vice help make popular was high-fashion, particularly that which involved the use of Gothic clothing.

Many television shows have had their fair share of popular fashion trends, but none has had as much of an impact on the world as Miami Vice. The clothing and makeup used in the show were innovative and stylish, and they helped create the image of a crime-fighting group which many Americans grew up believing. The clothing styles that were shown on the small screen were, for the most part, very similar to those which can be seen in any city across America. The only difference between what fashion trend did Miami Vice help make popular was that it managed to incorporate some elements of fantasy into what many Americans believed to be the true reality.

A lot of what fashion trends do, which is why so many television shows feature them, is to try and illustrate how different clothing styles or haircuts can fit into specific societal roles. In the case of Miami Vice, which was one of the first shows to take this approach, the focus was on how the women who wore the clothing and accessories looked like, or at least behaved like, people who belonged to various social groups, such as the cliques and groups that law enforcement agencies often tackle. Miami Vice, like many of the successful television shows that feature what fashion trends do, was able to successfully use fashion trends to tell an engaging story. The show also managed to use the fact that Miami was often the hub of illegal activity, especially in the nightclubs and restaurants where much of the show was filmed, to create a compelling reason for why the women were seen behaving badly.

The same thing can be said for what fashion trend did Miami vice help make popular. While there may have been more female fashion models in high school than there are now, it’s still not as competitive as many other cities, which is why Miami Vice remains a television favorite. However, because of the fact that the crime rate in Miami was so high during the time the show was on, it was impossible to realistically portray a scene in which a male figure would be seen, which made Miami Vice a very unique and interesting show in the first place.

The wayfarer concept is one that many Miami Vice episodes featured, with the most famous episode featuring Detective Lowe (played by veteran actor Michael Chiklis) and his partner, Miami Vice Detective Sam Parker (Jon Gries). The two detectives find themselves unwittingly helping a lady burglar escape from a warehouse where she intends to use a massive amount of illegal drugs. Because of the way the two detectives follow the lady, they are almost immediately after her when the she flees the warehouse with millions of dollars worth of drugs.

They then discover that the woman was being held at a secret location marked “The Hole”. What exactly is The Hole?

What the Miami Vice television series did was take the idea of what a successful detective could be while still following the rules of popular television in a Miami setting. It was a way for Miami detectives to get into the heads of the criminals they were chasing, which was how the show began. With the successful debut of the series on FX, Miami Vice has only grown in popularity. The show has been syndicated throughout America, as well as around the world, where it has been seen in over a hundred countries. So not only has it helped to make Miami into a more interesting place to live, but it has also helped the detectives who were trying to catch the bad guys to look like good detectives too. The success of what could have been an average crime show has spawned what is probably the hottest trend of our time.
